On Wednesday 25th September, a Melville Chamber of Commerce Business After hours Event was hosted by the Melville Rotary Club , and held at the South of Perth Yacht club. This offered a prime opportunity for local professionals to expand their networks while supporting community initiatives. With stunning views of the Swan River, attendees enjoyed a relaxed evening of networking, delicious food and refreshing beverages.
Melville Rotary had the opportunity to “Show and Tell” about the various aspects of the Rotary Club and its impactful projects, as well as learn about the Rotary Means Business Organisation from the guest speaker.
Part of the “Show and Tell” was the presentation of a cheque of $4500.00 from Melville Rotary to Mark Popham, a representative of the Sailability committee within the auspices of the South of Perth Yacht club. These monies were donated to assist in the rebuilding of jetty hoists and mounts, which are used to lift people with disabilities out of their wheelchairs and into the modified Sailability boats.
